SKU CCI-DFLO-LIMEGREEN-G

Bright fluorescent lime green water-based discharge ink engineered for printing exceptionally soft-hand graphics on suitable dischargeable fabrics, delivering vibrant color, excellent detail, and outstanding fluorescent intensity under black light.

Characteristics

CCI D-FLO Lime Discharge Ink is a fluorescent water-based discharge ink formulated for producing vibrant lime green prints with an exceptionally soft hand. Designed for suitable dischargeable fabrics, D-FLO removes the garment dye during curing while depositing fluorescent color into the printed area, creating bright graphics without the heavy ink deposit associated with conventional printing methods.

The fluorescent formulation produces extremely bright, crisp color and becomes especially vibrant under black-light conditions. This makes D-FLO Lime an excellent option for designs requiring distinctive fluorescent effects while maintaining the soft feel associated with discharge printing.

D-FLO features flow and rheology characteristics that allow it to print through relatively high mesh counts. This capability helps printers reproduce fine image detail while controlling ink deposit for an even softer finished print.

Before printing, D-FLO must be activated with CCI D-Powder Discharge Activator. CCI recommends adding 3–6% activator by weight and mixing thoroughly. The amount of activator can be adjusted within the recommended range depending on the discharge characteristics of the garment and the desired result.

For best stencil durability, screens should be prepared with a water-resistant emulsion. Post-hardening the stencil is recommended for longer production runs. During extended printing, occasionally misting the screen with water can help maintain open time and prevent the ink from drying in the mesh.

Proper curing is critical for achieving complete discharge, color development, wash durability, and removal of residual activator odor. Because garment dyes vary considerably in their ability to discharge, production fabrics should always be tested before beginning a full print run.

Usage Tips
  • Always test the production garment before printing because not all fabric dyes are dischargeable.
  • Add 3–6% CCI D-Powder Discharge Activator by weight and mix thoroughly before printing.
  • Activate only the amount of ink required for the current production run.
  • Use a water-resistant emulsion to help prevent stencil breakdown when printing water-based discharge inks.
  • Post-harden the stencil when preparing screens for longer production runs.
  • Use heavier squeegee pressure as appropriate for the selected mesh count and application.
  • D-FLO can be printed wet-on-wet without flash curing between colors.
  • Occasionally mist the screen with water during extended production runs to help prevent ink from drying in the mesh.
  • Do not allow the printed garment to completely dry before oven curing. Maintaining moisture helps promote the discharge reaction.
  • Proper curing is essential for complete discharge, final color development, wash durability, and removal of activator odor.
  • High-volume forced air is recommended during curing for optimum discharge performance.
  • Always evaluate the final color after the print has been completely cured, as discharge results can vary depending on the garment dye and fabric.
  • Wash testing is recommended before beginning full production.
