Aquarius Water Base Black Mixing Pigment Concentrate is a highly concentrated universal pigment developed for use with Zodiac™ Aquarius™ water-based printing bases. The Black Concentrate is one of 15 pigments in the Aquarius pigment system and can be used to formulate custom colors, deepen shades, and produce accurate color matches for professional textile screen printing.
The Aquarius pigment range integrates with the Zodiac™ Aquarius™ Ink Management System (IMS), which provides mixing formulas for matching Pantone® standards and approved brand colors. Using a digital scale and the appropriate IMS formula allows printers to accurately reproduce colors while maintaining consistency from batch to batch.
Because it is a pigment concentrate rather than a ready-to-print ink, Black Concentrate should be mixed into the appropriate Aquarius base before printing. Aquarius Black Mixing Pigment Concentrate is designed to be incorporated into the appropriate Zodiac™ Aquarius™ printing base. Any additives, modifiers, or specialty components should be selected according to the recommendations for the specific Aquarius base and printing application.
Do not exceed the recommended pigment or additive loading for the selected Aquarius base. Excessive pigment or modifier levels may affect printability, curing, adhesion, wash durability, color accuracy, and overall finished-print performance.

The selected Aquarius base determines the finished ink's printing characteristics, recommended substrates, mesh range, cure requirements, hand, adhesion, durability, and overall performance.
Maximum pigment loading is also dependent on the Aquarius base being used. Always follow the recommended pigment-loading limits for the selected base. Excessive pigment concentration may negatively affect cure, adhesion, wash durability, and other performance characteristics.
Because textile fabrics, garment dyes, printing conditions, and curing equipment can vary, always test the complete finished formulation on the intended garment before beginning production.
