SKU CCI-DFLO-BLUE-G

Fluorescent blue water-based discharge screen printing ink engineered for exceptionally bright, crisp color and an extremely soft hand, with excellent flow characteristics for fine-detail printing and high mesh counts.

Characteristics

CCI D-FLO Blue Water-Based Discharge Ink is a fluorescent discharge ink designed for producing vibrant blue prints with an exceptionally soft hand on suitable dischargeable fabrics. Rather than building a heavy ink layer on the surface of the garment, the discharge process works with the garment dye to produce a soft, comfortable finished print.

D-FLO Blue produces exceptionally bright fluorescent color and delivers enhanced visual intensity under black-light conditions. Its combination of discharge performance and fluorescent pigmentation makes it an excellent choice for bold graphics, specialty designs, and prints requiring bright color without sacrificing garment softness.

Engineered with excellent rheology and flow characteristics, D-FLO can be printed through high mesh counts to produce fine image detail and a softer finished print. Its low-viscosity formulation also provides easy printing characteristics for professional textile screen printing production.

D-FLO can be used in conjunction with other compatible ink systems to create multiple print effects and specialty designs. The formulation provides strong color and wash fastness while remaining resistant to normal dry cleaning and ironing when properly printed and cured.

The ink is PVC- and phthalate-free, CPSIA compliant, low odor, and designed for convenient cleanup. Once activated, D-FLO provides a pot life of up to 24 hours, giving printers useful production flexibility for longer print runs.

Usage Tips
  • Always test the garment before production because not all garment dyes are dischargeable.
  • Use a discharge-compatible, water-resistant screen printing emulsion.
  • Activate only the amount of ink required for the current production job.
  • CCI recommends mesh counts from approximately 125 to 355 threads per inch depending on the artwork and desired ink deposit.
  • Heavier squeegee pressure is typically preferred when printing D-FLO.
  • D-FLO can be printed wet-on-wet without flash curing when appropriate for the job.
  • Occasionally mist on-press screens with water during extended production runs to help maintain ink moisture.
  • Do not allow the printed garment to dry before oven curing. Maintaining moisture helps support the discharge reaction.
  • Cure for a minimum of approximately 90 seconds at 320°F. CCI indicates an ideal cure of approximately 2–3 minutes at 340–350°F with high-volume forced air.
  • Proper curing is critical for achieving the desired discharge effect, color durability, wash fastness, and removal of residual activator odor.
  • CCI EnviroLine Retarder can be added at up to 5% when additional screen open time is required.
  • Uncured ink can generally be cleaned with water. CCI EnviroSolv is recommended as an on-press cleaner and screen opener, while CCI WB-1 can be used for dried ink and difficult residual stains.
  • Always perform production testing for discharge performance, curing, durability, color, and wash fastness before beginning a full production run.
